bonsella GOLD FAQ's

bonsella GOLD is the paid tier of bonsella, where for a monthly fee of R49 you get access to double airtime benfits, lifestyle rewards and retail discounts.

bonsella™ GOLD membership fee of R 49.00 will be charged on a monthly basis. Payments are made via debit order only and you have a choice of the 1st, 15th, 25th and the last day of the month.

You may apply for a bonsella™ GOLD membership and enter into the agreement with Retail Engage through application with any authorised bonsella™ agent in store only.

bonsella™ GOLD double airtime benefits will be activated immediately after successful registration, all other benefits will be activated within 48 hours of successful debit. Members will be notified by SMS upon activation of their benefits.

bonsella™ GOLD membership benefits include: DOUBLE bonsella™ airtime rewards and competition benefits; Shopping & Lifestyle discounts, including: retail, magazine subscriptions,bus ticket discounts and soccer ticket discounts. Peace of Mind through our member Crisis Line, Funeral Discount benefit, Legal Advice line and phone repair discounts; Education benefits with discounts on stationery and books and Homework Help line; and Health benefits through our Health Advice line and Clinic Services.

Access to the bonsella™ GOLD benefits is coordinated by the bonsella™ Line, which is accessible 24hours a day, 365 days a year through a variety of channels, including: telephone 087 310 2871 and USSD call back facility on *130*3272*28#

Benefits are available for 30 days from date of debit order, for as long as your payments are successful.

No, only one voucher can be used per purchase and it may not be used in conjuction with any other voucher.

The lifestyle discount line for discount partners (Jet, Edgars, CNA and WeFix), discounted soccer tickets, discounted bus tickets, discount magazine subscriptions and funeral discount is available 07h00 – 19h00 Monday to Friday and 08h00 – 12h00 on Saturdays only. The contact centre is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. Agent response time for call back requests is 4 hours (during service hours only).

Yes, you can downgrade your GOLD membership to the FREE bonsella™ card at any time, you will forfeit your double airtime rewards. Contact the bonsella™ care centre on 087 310 2871 to cancel your membership and then visit your nearest store to obtain a new bonsella™ card from the in store agent.

If your GOLD membership and card has been suspended, you can visit your nearest store and speak to an in store bonsella™ agent to reactivate, or contact the bonsella™ care centre on 087 310 2871.

To change your debit order details contact the bonsella™ care centre on 087 310 2871, and a friendly agent will assist.

Legal Advice, Crisis Line, Health Advice and Clinic Services are available 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Call back requests for these services vary as follows: Legal Advice – 2 hours, Crisis Line – 3 minutes, Health Advice – 5 minutes, Clinic Services – 1 hour. 5.6 Homework Help is available Monday to Thursday between 18h00 to 21h00 and is not available during school hours or public holidays. Teacher response time for call back requests is 15 minutes (during service hours only).

Voucher redemptions are only valid on cash purchases and the voucher must be produced before the transaction is complete.

No, vouchers are not transferable and a valid ID document may be required for verification with bonsella™ GOLD benefit service providers and / or discount partners.

Unfortunately the voucher is only valid when presented before a transaction is completed.

Visit your nearest bonsella store or contact our call centre and an agent will assist you with updating your details.

To cancel your bonsella™ GOLD membership, you can go in store and cancel with the bonsella™ in store agent, or you can call the bonsella™ care centre on 087 310 2871. Upon cancellation, the bonsella™ GOLD card will be void and no more airtime rewards will be earned. You will need to cancel at least 7 days before your next debit.

Should your debit order fail, you will be notified by SMS to your linked mobile number. You have the option to pay the outstanding balance by EFT to the bank details provided.

If you fail to pay your ourstanding balance before the next debit order date, the outstanding fee will be added to their next debit.

If your debit order fails twice, your account will be suspended and all benefits and rewards voided.
